Description

Spotted this amazing mural on a Truck, while flying past at 110kms, yesterday - with camera in my ever-ready hands ... nearly missed it! (my son was driving) LOL There is something about this, that brought a smile to my face - if only all trucks would look so interesting ? BTW the scene actually depicts our iconic Surfers Paradise beach, on the Gold Coast, an hour from Brisbane... Cheers *BB*

What a great photo. Nice 'truck' driving in Australia! Indeed, I first thought it was a real beach photos. But then I saw the straps that attached the canvas. And they were no piers in the sea. ;D

A mural or, in this case, a large graphic on a truck provides a glimpse into another culture and prepares one to weather a different political climate. In this case the difference compared to what I expect to see here in the US isn't too different at all. Much of the world, while energy is relatively cheap and abundant, has become small and homogeneous in nature. But this is temporary as we live in a finite world. Very nice slice of life and telling photograph BB. Submissions like this provide much to ponder.

So, where's the sharks? Or Jeff running on the waves to get away from said sharks yelling "Crickey!" Anywhoo...nice to see he had his mind on his driving lol!

You were very quick to catch this wonderful mural as it flashed by. Yes it would be great if all trucks had such artwork especially when they take up such a lot of the road. We have a few like this too but not nearly enough.

Congratulations on your quick reflexes! I once saw a movie set in Manly. There were a lot of shots of the town and Manly Cove/North Harbour. Such a beautiful country. Its on my list to visit.

This is nice, and to the company that owns the truck well done. I commend the idea of not commercially covering the world in advertising!!
