My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I remember crossing Wyoming back in 1974....on my motorcycle in October... Thanks for the memories

I looked at part two first but I don't think it matters according to your assessment of the state. I don't think the Visitors Bureau of Wyoming will be asking you for a recommendation for a travel brochure. I liked Wyoming but to each his own. Great photos!

This collages gives a little window to the place I will never be. So for me this is a real postcard of Wyoming. So weird, I live just next to the small village called Wyoming and on that part is nothing just farms and cows...yours is more exciting even if some part is flat...lol.

I traveled across in 1972. We stopped for something to eat at a diner in Laramie and the singular memory of that stop was that the men and women were all dressed the same and, no offense, kinda looked the same. Nice collection of photos. It really gives the viewer a good idea of the landscape around the state.

Zooming makes your collage come to life. We spent the better part of a day and a half on this drive across Wyoming. Imagine doing this in a covered wagon as late as the 1860s or even a train on the newly completed Transcontinental Railroad in the 1870s.

It does allow you to see the BIG sky--it does seem to go on forever. I remember Wyoming as being the place where all the rabbits were foolishly emulating lemmings and trying to cross the highway, evidenced by the miles of flattened fur on the road. Many years ago I spent a windy night camping somewhere out there, only to discover the next morning that we'd pitched our tent in a junkyard. Great overview of the place!

Wonderful collage. Very well done

I remember living in Cheyanne (at the Air Force base) back in '57 - I was pretty young then, but old enough to remember a lot of things. It's amazing what a varied landscape you'll find in Wyoming. Cool photos, Tara!

Wyoming is such a boringly shaped state--square...but the landscape is immensely interesting...from flat to bumpy, to open to somewhat creepy in that UFO abduction sort of way. Oh, and some creepy things HAVE happened in that state, but I must say that I love this collage. The natural landscape there is amazing, and I love shot number 2...the way the rocks look grown, organic, strangely alive and soft. I love all of them, but that's the shot that grabbed me and wouldn't let go...I think I need to write a story in an environment with rocks like that! This is amazing stuff. I really, really like it.

Oh my goodness, what views! Those ranges are - weirdly strange and fascinating all at once! It would, I think, be a rather scary place to be on one's own. Regardless, these images are perfect and I'm so pleased you posted them. ^=^

I love the sight of people-free and rugged landscape in the morning.
