Description
Another of my foggy-forest-snow scenes :)
In the lowest area the thawing has created a puddle of water (it's supposed to be a pathway, not a stream). Texturing & lighting study. Not too happy with it, though - nothing "wrong" as such, it's just a bit too dull IMO.
Vue 8.4 render, the majority of the models and all textures by me. Some colour/levels correction and subtle lensglare filter, framing & signature with Photoshop.
(The idea came from watching television: During an interview with some Danish politician I noticed a large painting in the background with this "thawing forest road" theme, it looked fantastic, and I stopped paying attention to the interview. Instead I tried to find the picture on the web, but with no result. So I made this from memory and imagination...)

it's interesting. i can kind of see what you mean at the small Rendo display size, but it's much more striking zoomed in. i really love how it looks. it makes me miss snow.

The first thought was it's overexposured, but sometimes weather conditions are like this. Sunglasses needed. Beautiful winter forest scene, well done!

Hey Lars, That one looks like it'd be a great puzzle to "try" and put together hehehe It really looks like you used some post effects or something to get that almost painterly-ish look there and it REALLY works for this. BTW, do you ever reply back to all these postings people post, or do you upload an image and then go away? hahaha I've probably mentioned this some time in the past too, but hey, I like your works but nearly never see you respond to anyone's comments or even their questions.... though maybe it's just me and I'm just missing those? ;) Great winter time image and in fact, one of the better versions I've seen in a long time, no buildings or anything like that, just nice woods and forest. ....................md :)

Looks very cold indeed. But some thing doesn't fit, cant say exactly what it is, may be the colored grass and bushes that one could wait as blacked by the thawing. Anyway, you are showing us such an expertise through such a wonderfull picture !
