Description

ZOOM is good! Standing at Alki, looking across Elliott Bay at downtown Seattle. Bill and I spent an enjoyable afternoon out with my aunt and a cousin, and ended up driving around West Seattle. It's one of the best places to capture a view of the entire city! This started out to be an 11-shot pano (portrait orientation), but I did some cropping once it was all done, so it might be down to 8 or 9 for this final piece. Postwork was done to the jpg file after CS3 did the pano for me.

Wow, this is really well done! I love the quality of the light (I do repeat myself when I see your images, don't I?) Your signature creamy softness yet crystal clear detail...I don't know how you do it, but it's gorgeous!

Wow, this is amazing--I keep looking at it, trying to remember what parts of the city I've seen. Seeing it from this perspective is just great!!

I have a shot very similar to this. But it was at night. From the ferry. So you know what happened to it. Fantastic pano, absolutely seemless. Love the soft colors. Can't decide whether the large object on the far right is a beached whale or a sports arena.

Now, this is a true pano...from the Key Arena and Space Needle on the left (north) through downtown highligted by Seattle's tallest (Columbia Center), and Seattle's oldest Smith Tower over to the twin sports stadiums (Quest and Safeco Fields) and Harbor Island (south) among the cranes of the busy port area. First rate:)

Wow! This is even wider than Bill's panorama - the docks are visible to the right and the north end towards the Univ. of Washington to the left. Fantastic jobs you two have done with these panoramas. I told Bill you two should do a tutorial sometime on how to do this right! :-)
