Description

No story .. but it did remind of a book of the same name I read years ago, "Ringworld" by Larry Niven. I only read the first book, I think there were two more Ringworld novels, but I never did get around to reading them. This is Bunny Clarke's Neon Worlds script, endlessly tweaked. I did add a start field background, and two small fractals. Many thanks for all the marvelous comments on the previous post .. each is like a little jewel to read! Thank you for the many faves. Hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful day, and hope everyone else had a wonderful day, too. Still catching up!!

I think I will start exploring space if I can find beautiful worlds like this. What a super fractal in lovely colourings and the bg looks great though I'm not sure I know how you did that.

This is soooo very cool! This looks like some kind of galactic space station or a city perhaps. You've turned something as abstract as fractal into something lucid. For some reason the word 'ring worm' keeps popping into my head, though it has NOTHING to do with this amazing piece! XD

Great composition and idea, Rita. A beautiful fractal-galactic piece. There are many fine details in this. Most suitable for the book title. Tjank you for your thoughts during the dark times.

now back to the cosmos of fractals...a science fiction world (or station), but, like many fractals, also a glimpse into the mechanics of life. Very fine work with the rippling 'bands' around the center (the ones in a gold hue that go up & down the edge like a roller coaster); fine work with the disks flying to-and-from the center; a fine ring around the center (the outer ring) which moves in & out of the spotlight nicely; and the center itself---a universe complete, with more discs and some fine greenish & yellow hues. Real fractal stuff, still a mystery to those of us who've never done them; and done with the ease you show in all your fractals. Don't know the books, but your image is clear enough. A fine slice of the cosmos, and fine detail too.

Superbly done Rita! Larry Niven is one of my fave sci-fi writers. You need to read the other Ringworld books so you can discover who the Ringworld builders were and why they built it.
