This is indeed a fortuitous event! If you happen to be on Eadon, and you are standing on the exact hilltop that aligns with the Golden Band and the Moon when the Wandering Star passes, and you see the exact moment of alignment, in essence becoming part of the alignment .. the moon, the unknown star, the Golden Band, and you .. there is a flow of positive energy that passes through the Golden Band and into you, the beholder. It is said to infuse you, the beholder, for all of your alloted days with good fortune.
It is not known if this is myth, or truth. It is known that the Tower topped by the Golden Band exists, but it's location and purpose is lost, as is the location of the small planet Eadon. There are two old pictures, well preserved, and this is a copy of one.
The wandering star is believed to be an unusually large comet.
The planet Eadon's surface and the sky are both bpc-bd's gnarl scripts, the silver tower is etomchek's Ukrainian Christmas Tree script, and the rest are raw flames. All were tweaked in Apo, assembled and sig and frame added in PSP X2.
Many many thanks for the comments on the previous post, Ringworld. I was thrilled that you all liked it so much! Thank you again for your support and encouragement ..
Bathroom update: it is finished .. but still no shower door. We ordered it, and it should be here. Good thing there is another shower or we'd be taking frequent trips to my daughter's house, LOL!
Temps here have dropped, the snow has come, and it looks like winter is here.

Am I supose to be standing, oh damn I think the star or comment already passed - how much longer do I have to wait? LOL.... Reminds me of Indiana Jones and other movies where the light has to line up just right - funny, but if it is built and a hundred years later they expect it to line up, do the take into account water rises and lowers and freezes, causing constant movement??? what about earthquakes? Wind?... I don't think I'll sit here any longer waiting, I guess I should of stood - lol.... cool picture, and love the fantasy Idea, but just my luck, this would act like a magnifying glass and toast me - lol

in winter you should not shower too often anyway,a little coat of grunge keeps warm according to our grand, grand fathers lol. reminds me of something i have seen on tv recently. in earlier times we had the saying that for example 2 people disliked the smell of eachother so they went not together.. nowadays everyone shaves everywhere, and covers the natural smell and then people wonder after years why they cant stand each other anymore. if they would have had their natural smell maybe they would not have been together in the first place. no mistake i dont want to run around smelly (lol)but smell natural,i mean you work you transpire and the sweat must smell like sweat and not undefined no-odor. sorry i got carried away again.nice work.

Rita, you really went all out on this one and did a great job of not only explaining this amazing event, but in bringing it to life right here. Really a lovely story that warms the heart first thing on a cold morning. So glad your bathroom is finished and hope you get that shower door soon :)

Beautiful image and a great tale as well. Curiously enough, there are places like this on our planet. The alignment with the Sun at a specific time being of critical importance. My brother, on a trip to Scotland, was investigating Rosslyn chapel at the time they were filming " The Da Vinci Code".He noted a small stain glass window with a five pointed star above the altar. On St. Matthews Feast Day in September, I think, a ray of sunlight goes through the star onto the altars chalice. Reminds me of your marvelous story.Once again, Rita, you have honored us with your outstanding gifts for both visual and verbal expression.OUTSTANDING!!!!!

I love the image and the backstory to go along with it, even the bit about the bathroom work...it all has such a flow, much like the energy you describe in the text. The colors in this are astounding: so rich and crisp, very clean but not "sterile" if that makes sense. The design is marvelous and the concept is amazing. Yeah, this is one of those pieces of work that rewards multiple viewings too...there is a lot to see, a lot to explore and absorb and that's always a good thing. Great stuff, and I'm glad to VERY SLOWLY start catching up on the cool stuff I've been missing.
