Description

... and that has nothing to do with Cricket ! This Moreton Bay Fig tree could be at least 100 years old - which coincides with this particular post, which also happens to be #100 for me... WOOHOO ! Three years ago I planted my roots here at Renderosity, just like this tree, pretty firmly by now! I have met an amazing lot of photographers and artists - beginners, amateurs and some even on a semi and/or professional level ... I have never stopped learning, looking at the world in a different way now and every day is lost in which I do not learn something useful. Big thanks to everyone ... Cheers *BB*

Excellent photo and congrats on the 100th offering to Renderosity. This particular tree appears symbolic of your photographic achievement; it branches upward and outward in proud display of the fruits nurtured from its deep roots embedded in this community. Well done BB!

i picked this because it was your 100th, and because it's a big spectacular catch of a tree. It's a little silly to say "congratulations" when this went up in 2011. (Are ya late much, Mark?) But congratulations anyway. You've built a terrific gallery. As for the shot, you got it smack-dab-in-the-middle, a tree that explodes outwards for us, and just tangles out into the air like streamers. And you have a bluish tine to it, which makes it catch our attention. And the ground ends where the tree starts to branch out. Solid composition. A powerful capture of a great tree, you got its whole "blast into space" feeling. And you toned it down with that introspective blue. Kind of fitting for a 100th anniversary---excitement and reflection. Love what you did with this.
