Description

... between Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona that is. Hello! I have been sooooo busy! I haven't had time for Renderosity/Photography much at all. The reason we have this upload is my daughter had a weird request. She said, "Mom, can you put 20 of your favorite photos that you took on an SD card?" Of course, I am me, and I couldn't choose just 20.. she is getting a card with 72 photos.. hahaha. She will have to choose. (I am really curious as to what she has up her sleeve). So, I have been browsing folders.. and look what I found! This was taken a couple of years ago in Arizona. I had to do a little crop, because I used the lens hood and had shadows at the corners.. I have discovered that the lens hood is NOT my friend. lol. I hope you are all enjoying the festivities of Christmas, and not just being totally busy every minute! Thanks so much for your continued support and visits/comments. My previous upload, a long, long time ago ! lol .... "Cosmo in Paradise". Have a Fabulous weekend! Hugs, ~Melinda~

Those sages or whatever those plants are must be the dividing line: between Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona...okay, maybe not, but it's a fun story anyway. I really like this image. The colors are lush and so incredibly WARM. I can do with warmth today...heck, I'll enjoy it for the rest of winter, though I know that warmth is just a distant dream now. But anyway, enough about me and my winter woes. I really like the composition of this shot, and I wonder if those plants growing in a line are also marking an underground waterway or sorts? I love the variety of life in this picture: so many different plants, so many shapes, so many forms, so many cacti that belong to at least two species (?) but I could be wrong, since I don't know diddly-squat about green things with roots and/or flowers. I also love the whole sense of visual excitement and the pronounced sense of environment and scale. Yeah, as you can see, I kinda like this. I like this a lot!

I love this picture! It brings back memories of hiking all over Pima and Cochise counties when I was a kid.

I was wondering what had happened to you, and was just about ready to give up hope of ever seeing your work and comments anymore when you popped up with this magnificent photo, full of excellent clarity, color, contrast and texture! Hope to see you around again, Melinda.
