Welcome to my homepage!
I am new to this whole homepage / website thing. I love photography but am a novice with that too! My brother and friend post on here regularly and I was curious so got on and really like what I see so I figured I would give it a try.
I really enjoy nature photography especially macrophotography. I usually use a 35 mm camera using slide or print film but have switched into the digital because it's great for the environment and it its much more flexible. The most beautiful things in life to me are the most simple and often overlooked.
I have always been the black sheep (non-artist) in a family of very talented artists. I would love to connect with other folks who are interested in nature photography.Â
Peace, KateÂ

As a dad I really value the times when there isn't really anything to do other than just be together. Nice shot.

What a wonderful shot! So inviting. That's some good, quality time you got goin' there. From what I know of Corey, and what little I know of you, I would say your parents are pretty special people!

This is such a fun photo; it's really well done; I don't actually notice any fuzziness. There's a tiny bit, but it seems more like a part of the vibe of the shot rather than a flaw in it. Great colors too, and I love the crossed ankles and the feet up on footrests. Nobody's going out anytime soon, and the whole vibe is relaxed and a bit playful. That always, always works for me. I also love the fact that the television isn't turned on. People are talking rather than sitting in isolation, watching other people do things and listening to other people yammering about...oh, I don't know...who shot J.R....or who gets voted off the island next? I much prefer a television turned off. This is a great shot.

I owe you comments on the rest of these kate (and I still will write a fav artist for you---I'm behind on everything, it's not personal!), but I'm stopping at one gallery per person this morning, to wish everyone a great holiday. I chose this because of the warmth & love you express about family, both in the pic & your words. It's such a delight, with the feet only, and a living room where people hang out and just share their presence along with everything else. I didn't notice blur, except in the background (which is often blurred in photos). But the spirit pervades. Thank you so much for your consistently kind & caring comments in my gallery, and for your support---it means the world to me. And for the spirit you bring to everyone else here, too. (And for your gallery of course, of which I am a true fan.) And I wish you & all you love a wonderful holiday & new year, and I'll be back for more soon. Don't know if you're still in Florida (where I'm told it was trés cold, btw), but wherever you are, I hope you're having a loving holiday. And btw, those are cool walking shoes! I gotta get a pair of those! Wonderful image...happy holidays!

Such a great way of showing 'relaxed and loving'!
