LOL...I think he can kiss them goodbye, LOL!!! I LOVE ducks and these are beautiful. I LOVE the green color on the male mallards' heads. I love seeing them around our campsite when we're camping.

Man, he should have 'em on one of those floating lanyards! You can buy them anywhere near the beach. I hope the water there is shallow, or he's SOL! This is a great shot, Mark. :D Love it!

Fabulous capture of the mini flotilla of ducks, leaving behind them a stellar series of braided wakes, as one of their group frantically searches for its keys, Mark! The very thought of that happening would put me in a helpless nightmarish state of anxiety.

Every Friday afternoon at The Citadel we had a Retreat Parade. Each Cadet Battalion command group had one commander and 3 or 4 staff members. As I studied these little guys in your image, I could see the command group having done an about face and marching off...leaving the commander to commit hara-kiri because he gave the wrong command. OK, we never really had any ritual suicides on the parade ground;-) But your little group sure is cute...and your title fits to a T.

Have to say Mark that you really managed to give me a big smile with this one. First of all it's a wonderful capture as you managed to get them all in the scene at just the right time. Now let me say how clever the title was as this does appear to be like a typical family where there is always that one who forgot something on the way out the door.

A great title for this wonderful capture. I love how the ducks are making a great pattern in the water with a feathered look, which is very appropriate for these feathered friends.

Very cool picture!!!

WOW! This will have me laughing for about a month now. I never knew that ducks had keys and that when they dropped or lost them, they had to find them that way. Wait until I tell Pavl that...he loves ducks, well, at least the ones that quack in Czech. I wonder if he even knew that they did this because of lost or dropped keys! I'll keep you posted. As for this shot. It's elegant, marvelous, and is quite telling. I often think that the bottomside of a duck bobbing like that, with feet so inelegantly splayed like that always offered a wonderful commentary on life and the need to sometimes just...well...do that. How marvelous! I love this shot! I love the ducks, of course, and their wakes are stunning. WOW!

Very funny, Mark! You got this one just right. Great shot!

ROFL. Wonderful shot and title! Of course it is possible that he hasn't lost the keys, but has them attached to the giant keyring around his neck, which may account for his swimming style. Snorkel, anyone?
myrrhluz
Wonderful image and title. I got a double laugh from your post and faroutsider's comment. I think he has lost his keys before, as his companions seem to be totally out of patience with him. Superb capture! The glassy texture and braided (perfect adjective, Harry) wakes in the water are fantastic. Beautiful color, and composition. Very funny title!
three_grrr
Well if he'd have put them in his pocket he wouldn't have lost them. I will never look at a duck the same way again. ROFL!! A wonderful capture and then you add that little line .. and make it hysterical!
Feliciti
thanks for this big smile !!
