Description
This shot was taken at the Botanic Gardens summer 2010. Needed something to remind me of warm summer weather. Thank you as always for your comments and adding my images to your favorites.

This is gorgeous, Kate! I love the shallow dof, and that apricot color is absolutely my favorite, especially when it's sitting next to green. Something about that combination really does it for me. Superb image!

I don't know why, but the colors in this remind me of something Chinese. I really like that, and the colors are glorious, warm, and so alive. I like the DOF as well, and the details of those petals. It's really superb. The green has such depth as well and so the whole image looks like it's really nicely orchestrated...the composition is great! Oh, and by the way, this is making a trip into my favorites.

I LOVE the color on this! As you know I'm quite fond of orange. There's a wonderful dreamy quality to this that feels like summer memories in the dead of winter. I also like the contrasting purple in the background and the splash of hazy green that makes it look that much more dream-like.
