Description

Albany, a town of 50,000, lies seventy miles south of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1848, the modern part of the town is non-descript. It has the usual complement of hotels, restaurants and gas stations. Surrounding the old downtown area, however, you will find treasure. According to historians and architects, Albany has the most varied collection of historic buildings in Oregon. This collection includes styles from the 1840's through the 1920's.

They all have something to recommend them ... I think I'd like the Arts and Crafts bungalow best. No wait! The Victorian with the upstairs verandah ... no! Oh dang. I can't decide.

All three styles are very impressive, from the architectural and esthetically pleasing point of view, just a wee crit - I would have changed the white BG with a drop-shadow on each capture or a sky gradient perhaps, only a thought Mark, nice crisp images, BB

I love them all, but I put my dibs on number 1. The beautiful green of the lawns is something to be admired as well. Beautifully maintained bits of history.
