Description
The Albany Presbyterian Church and Rectory, also known as Whitespires, is a historic church building in Albany, designed by architect Walter Pugh. It was built in 1891 in the Carpenter Gothic style. The 85' high tower has been a city landmark since 1892. The beautiful stained glass windows were designed by the Povey Family of Portland.

I love visiting churches! It's funny, I just commented on one of the worst sides of religion, and here is one of the best. So many beautiful buildings built all over the world. Lovely church and captures! It has stained glass windows all over it. I like the ones in the tower. Such a lot of blue. It must be beautiful inside on a sunny day. Excellent POV, light, and color. I like the light on the top of the tower. Great closeup of the window.

Besides the great towering spires and the beautiful glass, I find the placement of the church on it's property so clever. Positioned on a corner with 2 doors and two sets of steps. Very symmetrical and clever. You obviously saw the same judging by the great photo you shot!!! It really looks like a place you would want to enter.
