Description
There were quite a few cameras clicking as the Kamov KA32A1 came in to dip its Bambi bucket in the reservoir yesterday. It is a powerful bird, creating quite a downdraught and spray. I eventually sat down on the grass rather than being blown over. Quite a few bags, caps, etc. were retrieved down the hill!
The Kamov's bucket carried at least double the volume of the ones under the Hueys.
The mountain to the left is Table Mountain, just below the cliffs where the top station of the cable way is located. See the old man of the mountain? You can see the profile of his forehead, nose and chin, facing towards the west (right).
I have not managed anything special for the close of 2010, this does not stop me wishing you all health, wisdom and prosperity for the New Year.
