Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

So colorful and imaginative! In a million years I'd never come up with a parrot in a straw hat riding a tricycle ... and with moving parts! I'm not sure the world needs such a thing, but what do I know? Somewhere out there someone is probably saving their pennies to buy one. Regardless ... it's a great photograph!

OMG! OMG! WOW! Where did you see this!? OK...you just said where this is, but this is just so incredible. Really it's one of those sorts of "not from here" shots that just jumps out at you, grabs you by the eyeballs, brightens your day, and probably puts a big, silly grin on your face. Well, it's doing that with me and I love this shot! WOW! And I agree, a parrot in a straw hat riding a tricycle is so incredibly priceless! WOW! I'm rather taken by the frog on the bike with flowers in the front basket. They're all priceless and this is such a fantastic shot!

Lol I love your lifeguard towers in the background. I was one for over 10 years and all we got was a bit of sand to sit on! And I think you guys get paid too! We got nothing and didn't even get any whirligigs to look at! Great shot.
