Description

More from my sister-in-law's place. I've got several blurry shots of this from past visits, but this time I remembered my tripod. Amazing, what a steady platform will do for one's photography! LOL! .......... I've been on Renderosity four years today. That hardly seems possible. The time has flown by! So much has happened in the past four years. I've made a lot of good friends here, and have met 15 of you in person so far. One of the people I made friends with on Renderosity was so fascinating and amazing that I married him! :D It's been a wonderful four years, and I'm looking forward to 2011 with you all. I wonder what this new year will bring?

Four years..gosh! What an interesting composition this is! The colours are very summer-sea and the glass has the sea and the sky in it..marvellous! I have only met 3 so far but I live in hope of more visits. Hint hint.

Superb detail and composition (two of your greatest artistic strengths). Thanks so much for the story snippet - I think I may have come up with a different twisty ending to yours (I'd love to know what your ending was...).

Happy 4-year anniversary with Renderosity, and yeah...ain't that marriage thing fun too? I remember first seeing your gallery here, and well...I was probably avoiding a conversation with Marushka's tea, since I saw and made many an earlier post within hailing distance of a chatty Ukrainian lady's biologically-active breakfast time beverage. I hung out with a bubbly Welsh lass who also taught English in Prague, who danced while cooking chicken in a skillet, and danced when there were mushrooms in a park. She knew that really cool magpie rhyme too. That was when I had a different camera and heard a different, and bouncy language every day; I hung out with eccentric friends with colorful socks and a penchant for smoking like heroes; I hung out with really special friends who shared cigarettes with me with kisses on the filters, and went on beer-seeking missions that somehow involved quite a few slightly-miffed ducks. I went to Radost FX in search of a friend to send greetings to from Trent's Sister--and through it all, I've loved every bit of your gallery; I can look through your gallery and read comments I've made to various brilliant works you've posted, and I can remember where I was and what language someone was speaking. And now, I get to sit back and enjoy this marvel before I go to bed and go "ooh and ahh" over that green glass and that shine, and laugh at the idea that yeah, those tripod thingies come in handy. Who'd have thunk it? I also get to look at this and think of Reza's and chicken with pomegranate sauce and some of the best company I've ever had. Yeah, and warp cores and wandering postcards were involved too. I love that this image marks 4 years here; it's extra special for all of the reasons I've stated above, because even though different worlds coexisted as your gallery grew, they became connected, and this is a wonderful marker of that. Needless to say it's also brilliant photography. Way to go! And I look forward to seeing how your gallery continues to evolve. Oh, and in case I didn't say so in that long, ramble...I really like this photo.

Well, what a stunning image to celebrate 4 years! Congratulations, Tara! Ooooo - I love that bottle! Very sharp and clear - a tripod definitly helps at times! Hey, Rendo has those dating sites beat by a mile! The people are sincere, and the art is much better! LOL!

Happy 4th anniversary on Renderosity! Time certianly has a way of flying by, I've been on here for nearly 2 years myself. It's been great to be able to view and comment on your gallery, which always has nice suprises, intriguing sights and good humor in abundant measure. Oh, have I mentioned the fantastic photos? I really enjoyed you and Marilyn's company durring the Great Chicago Ninja Confab of 2009, and would love to see you guys again and finally meet Bill. Hint, hint. Wishing you the best of everything in 2011, my friend! Oh, and did I mention the fantastic photos?
