"Kissed by Moonlight"
What do I do?  I write and I love art.  I love to read fantasy and science fiction, especially if there are dark creatures and lots of romance thrown in.ÂÂ
About 2 and a half years ago I started doing 3D art after a lifetime of fooling around with traditional media like pastel and pencil and watercolor.  I love this medium - Poser and what can be done with it, and also mixing poser with digital painting.  I enjoy painting skies and cloth and hair for the most part and adding magical effects in post work. ÂÂ
Now I'm learning how to model and texture, too and am finding it quite addicting to practice.  I hope that I can become as at ease with that process as rendering.
I hope you enjoy my gallery! Delaney Anne Grant

view this large first up. the small preview does not do it any justice this comes alive when you get to see it closer I love the use of colour in this Delaney at first I struggled with the foreground scene being soft shaded light and the back being so vibrant, but then it worked for me as it drew me into the scene to see what was going on back there clever

An intriguing way of showing dream state, as aluded to by Dr. Carl, who probably had the same what the heck moment that I did. Rather than rely on bluring you have used a well defined boundary to seperate reality from her dream. Her facial expression also gives away her confusion as she wonders if she is dreaming or what? This set is terribly rich and must have been a bitch to construct. My only off thought is about her hair, which looks like a V2 set, or the shaders were not turned on. I can only assume this is meant to be part of the dream, showing that she is not in a real state. My guess. Kudos on coming up with a novel way to show a different state of being.

The hair is one I've had for awhile, Suzette? The idea I had was maybe she is a anime fan who wakes up in a dream of somewhere she always thought of living. The hair fit, though it does render differently. I'll have to check it

What a dream indeed! I like the background vibrant colors, and the male character's face is very pleasant. So what are the magic words that will take me straight to Kathmandu ?:)

Fantastic tribute to a great artist and to her textures ! I have had exactly the same idea, making a Chinese scene (mainly inspired by the beautiful film I have seen lately "The secret of the flying daggers") to thanks her but I did ot manage so far to make it look good ... You DID, the poses of the charcaters and of the Euro skirt are great and the colours suit nicely the mood and the textures ! A beautiful and not easy work !

a peaceful place .. a wonderful dream DrCarl is right.. must zoom in to see it all. The fact that you worked on the poses and such for a long time is visual.. and gives the image something extra

Dang, Delaney, you just about knocked me out of my chair with this one... The dark-to-light transition is extremely effective - it's almost as if she's visualizing this dream on the wall of her room, or that the wall has become a portal to her dream world. Her pose and reaction to the dream are perfect. I agree with Carl - this HAS to be seen full size. It's just too awesome not to. You really knocked it right out of the park with this one, Delaney. It's always a treat to see what you do next.

Well, first I have to say there's nothing you could improve in this render - in my eyes it's already perfect! It's amusing to have two parts of this scene to put the attention on, the one with the "fighting" guys (awesome move on their clothes!!!), and the second with the 2 figures in the foreground. It's like 2 chapters in one book, that needs to be read after each other... I also love the sectioning into a light and a dark part in this scene... And it looks like you have borrowed crender's Muse for the sky! :) It so strongly reminds me of his imagery. I'm totally impressed by this complex scene, what a beautiful work, Delaney! Vashek
