Description
Very Cold here in Oklahoma, and the snow from Sunday hung around all day yesterday. Birds were taking full advantage of the feeders in the backyard so I bundled up and had fun shooting the backyard visitors. It's been a long time seen I've shoot the birds as my interests have gone in different directions as of late, after getting out there I realized I have been missing the challenge. This guy landed in the tree just above me caught him as he puffed up against the cold.

Such a beautiful bird - I think when they sin in the snow and eat they look like great.

What a shot! I've seen too few Cardinals lately...there was a time I'd always see them in mated pairs, and now I don't see as many. It could just be a matter of living in a different part of the city. Oh well. This is a super shot and I love the expression on this gentleman's face. I'm sure the female wasn't very far away. This is a great shot.
