Welcome to my homepage!
I am new to this whole homepage / website thing. I love photography but am a novice with that too! My brother and friend post on here regularly and I was curious so got on and really like what I see so I figured I would give it a try.
I really enjoy nature photography especially macrophotography. I usually use a 35 mm camera using slide or print film but have switched into the digital because it's great for the environment and it its much more flexible. The most beautiful things in life to me are the most simple and often overlooked.
I have always been the black sheep (non-artist) in a family of very talented artists. I would love to connect with other folks who are interested in nature photography.Â
Peace, KateÂ

You're really doing good stuff with this whole watercolor thing. I like the really modern look of this and the colors are fantastic. I don't know diddly-squat about watercolor stuff, so I have no idea if you used a wash (well, I know that washes are those things you use in watercolor paintings...what a wash is, I have no clue, but I know you use 'em. The yellows in this are so warm...well, the ocher-ish yellows and browns, and the objects are really nice. I like that bottle, especially, but then the blue mug is getting jealous and I have to say that I like it a lot too. Actually the whole thing is really nice, and I love that you captured the textures in this so well. I look forward to seeing more of these.

Nicely done! Watercolors are difficult and you really did a great job of keeping in control of your different colors and shapes. I love the different looks you can achieve with watercolors, especially the dry brush techniques. Can't wait to see more!

If it's dead batteries that cause you to paint, they hooray for the dead batteries! LOL! I do love your photography (so do replace the batteries) but in the meantime, I'll enjoy your watercolor work. Love the shapes and colors, and your depiction of light is just gorgeous!

This has a sweet simplicity and I like it very much. I can't really draw or paint, but the very few times I've tried, it's been with watercolors. They seem to give things a softness and you caught that well here!!

Beautiful glowing colours! So easy to make it all muddy, and you avoided that!

Nothing is as difficult as watercolour. You did a nice job and I like your daring posting this attempt on RR.

BEAUTIFUL STILL LIFE

HEy ! What a lovely still-life. I love still-life and did alot of that before and I will porbably do it again. I like the shading on the pots and mugs. You really did a fine job and I like very much your choice of colors. I always find it difficult to see which colors fits best... when I shall use them, but I have no difficulties to see if others choice of colors it good. Strange. I love the background wall. Looks like an old wall. Superb colors on that. I dont mind seeing alot more of your watercolors :-)))

Watercolors scare the bejeezus out of me. I'm one that fiddles and fiddles until I get something I like. With watercolors, I end up with a great big mess. This is excellent! Beautiful clear colors and the shading. I like the wall. It makes me think of plaster walls that are common in the southwest and have such character. Lovely watercolor! I look forward to seeing more!
