Description

This was taken today while out on a little photo jaunt with Corey and Chip. Taken the Evanston Art Center and Lighthouse Park. Cold here but great day to get out and play! Thanks for a fun day Corey and Chip- really enjoyed it! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Thank you as always for your comments.

I like this a lot...it looks so much better full size. Camera screens are nice, but you don't get the detail a full-size shot gives. I didn't even see the falling snow! I love the layers in this...there's the glass itself and then there are the worlds on either side of that glass. One of those worlds is cold. Frigid. As cold as brass underwear that's been kept next to the vodka in the freezer; now why anyone would have brass underwear is beyond me, but there you have it, a dubious metaphor from the warped and wacky brain of Chip. Yeah, and I had fun too, and I'm looking forward to seeing the other shots you took. It was a fun day and this is a great way to mark it. I love the shine in this. It's glass, but it looks almost metallic. You really have a knack for reflections; they're always surprising. This is really great stuff. More would be good.

WOW!! This is NICE!! I got so frosted on the beach trying to make pictures of ice clogged Lake Michigan that I had to sit in the car while you and Chip caught some great shots on the backside of that wonderfully ornate park building. This pic is phenominal and I love the reflection within a reflection to where it looks like the depth of the images goes on indefinately. Great work, and a very fun phot shoot!

OUTSTANDING!!! Wow. What a cool shot! You've really used the reflections to your advantage. This shot provides a bit of surrealism, while on another level it's wholly real. I love reflection shots, and have made a million of them (well ... more than a few, at any rate,) and I'm signing up for the Kate Black School of Reflections Shots immediately! You've given me a lot to think about! Really fine work.

Wonderful reflection! I like the imperfections and scratches on the glass. They add to the feeling of a barrier to another reality. I like that where I would expect the camera to be is a bright square with an arched doorway. Fascinating and complex image. I like it a lot.
