Description

Bonjour, I have the pleasure to submit you the new works ‘s paintings .Always around of the them “Eternal Return” ‘s F.W. NIETZSCHE and my symbolist approach. Why alleys in town or village ? When one walk or move along to roads or motorways ,we go from point to an other point. It’s all ! It’s little. Into the alleys ,one look , one lose one’s way ,one turn and return ,… etc … With pleasure or unpleasure ,with happiness or as well suffering. The world with the life of peoples from all countries ,all believes ,all superstitions ,tragedies , happinesses, arts,….etc…The colors of the live . I have tried to translate this idea. “ If the life don’t you love, love the life..”….. Outcomes my yearly travels in Morocco and Egypt ,I have used my villages or little towns ‘s memories. Twentieenth painting : DEDALE(S) 3/MAZE(S)3 COULEURS DES TEMPS /COLORS OF THE TIMES {Nubian village near Nasser Lake and several temples(Philaë , Kertassi ,…etc ) saved from waters at the time of the high dam construction about 1960– South Egypt .Village very known by the egyptologs and a few tourists….mislead} Real format after print (art paper or canvas) : 81 x 60 cm. Technique: Hand digital painting COREL DRAW and fractals elements http://quebec.to/c/microdess Thank you for your comments and ratings ….and sorry about my English language.

Wonderful light and colors, and I love the side-by-side old and new. Ancient buildings with satelite dishes! The sense of depth is excellent, and I just LOVE that light!

Excellent work, Jean, once more. Your image is filled with light and so colourful...and i felt such quietude, seeing her...tranquility?? Your title grabbed me, and made me curious..."colors of times, remembered me "colors of life"..and all your work speak about that. So, i had a fast view into your gallery, all together...a nice walk :)i found it all:The human component and their emotions, some hided others not...the life from the beginning and along its path...of each one or/and together. I met with flashes of memories and with the Past and the Future crossing and diving into the Present, with hope and/or despair... yet, the power, the self control and the "fugue"! Then, returning to your image again, i felt the alleys and how they can seem empty or peaceful. And, how they can have so much hurt and also beeing so alived!!! and so,i felt that tranquility.(Sorry for this long...i couldn´t avoid:) . Thank you. BRAVO!

I am amazed and impressed. I love the way this moves from ancient at the bottom to modern (and even futuristic) at the top...this tells a visual story and it is alive with dancing colors! I like this!

This is gorgeous and very insightful. Here our first impressions are of the crowded and ancient stone down beneath the domes of the faith that painted this place for over a thousand years. And above that an even more ancient blue sky, very timeless and unchanging. But then look closer, the town is dotted with satellite dishes conduits for a cosmopolitan outlook. Not just one, but many. A truly remarkable place. And exquisite artwork as always.

Splendide tableau, Jean!
