Description

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. ~Martin Luther King I was fortunate to be raised by parents who could never understand why someone with a permanent tan would be considered inferior by someone who spent their summers trying to acquire a tan. There is a memorial to Martin Luther King near the Oregon Convention Center across the Willamette river from downtown Portland. While he was not a perfect man it can be properly said that he gave his life for the principle that all of us are created equal.

You've included an outstanding set of photos of these natural looking statues. They are really beautiful. A wonderful collage for today. I too was lucky to be raised by a right-thinking family, and I feel very fortunate for that.

Perfection is not of this world! But I think that this man has fought a lifetime for a great principle! And you, dear Mark, you had a family right!
