Description

George Rodrigue kick off his Louisiana tour Here in Lake Charles. He talked about his art and why he did what. As You behind him; One of his Blue Dogs art work. he most likely the most famous living artist and maybe the most famous artist born and rise here in Louisiana. There other famous artist that was here in Louisiana but was not born here. Say what you will about his Blue Dogs but he rich and laughing all the way to the bank. I do not know what history will do to him as I see that the artists that die poor is most remember that the ones that got rich in life. Of couse there was a lot of poor artist that die and no one hears about them too. so I do not know what history will do for this man. I was in a room full with people and I had to rise my arms as high as I could go to get the shots I wish for. This one was the best one as others had a lot of movement as he was moving all the time talking. the lighting was bad and i did took some flash but I was too far away for it to do good as the images came out darker. I had my point and shoot camera at the time.

You did a nice job in capturing his photo despite all the problems Jock. I'm going to check out his art as he sounds like a very fascinating man

I've seen a book of his work before and it is not only unique but passionate. Great to see a photo of him and well done under the circumstances.

Great capture Jocko! :) You really need a large external flash setup for distant shots like that. That way he'll be walking into things blinking afterwards. ;D

Hard capture to do, and usually without a press pass, they wont let you in with a "Professional Camera" with detachable lenses.
