Description
I dedicate this image to Mark as well as those in distress here in Rendo, to make them smile a bit. I took this shot somewhere in Canada in 2006, from a bridge or other higher position. I was observing the geese when I noticed their peculiar catty-cornered way of drifting with the current of the river, so I froze them.
Thank you for your kind comments.

Sandra, please forgive my not getting here until now, I was at my father's (and will be returning there in a few days---I'm in chicago just to catch up on some work, as I've fallen way behind), and my father has no connection; so I was stuck with a couple of prehistoric connections that allowed me a glance online and no more. My time has also been entirely eaten up (with my father), and it's been so hard to get online, to write, to call, to do anything. So I'm just now commenting on the images that were made for me, and I want you to know how grateful I was when i saw your ebot & (later) glanced at your image & wishes. The geese seem to be lined up & going in the same direction, but their heads create a whole other direction, like someone said, "hey, over here!". It's a delightful capture, and the hues in the water & the light make it very carnival-like. A beautiful pick-me-up where the harmony of the geese brings the best of family to mind, fitting for what I've been going through. Thank you once more for thinking of me, Sandra, and for posting this beautiful light-filled image, and for remembering all the others who are experiencing illness or loss right now as well. I always appreciate your thoughtfulness, and always appreciate the uplift you communicate in your gallery day after day. I hope to return here soon. Thank you Sandra, this was deeply appreciated.
