I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Great shot! Looks almost snake like. I'm fond of snow too, but here in the Stormzilla land of Chicago, we've an embarrassment of riches. Perhaps I could send some your way. There's a bull-dozer and dump truck clearing out the alley behind my apartment building even as I type this, perhaps I should flag them down? Again, great shot!

That is so bizarrly cool - it's like some wierd crystal Dune-esq worm or something. That's just a really cool photo, Mike! I don't have any neat icecicles, just the normal ones, and they're mostly clinging to the wall. All I get when I shoot those is wierd, gray distortions... Nice one!

Strange, and beautiful, thanks!

Very interesting photo of this bifurcated icicle. I have a photo of a 5 meter (15 feet) long set, not vertical, but leaning due to the wind at the corner of the building. I'll see if I can post it one of these days. Keep up the good work! :-)

Looks like the icicle from hell, or something... :o) Great photograph.

Great image! It's never occurred to me to try and capture icicles at night, but now....

It's so smooth, usually when icicles have that sort of smooth, double prong thing going, there's a bit of rippling too...or maybe that's just a Chicago thing. I love ice shots like this and this is a real beauty. Great clarity and the dark background is super! I love that water can shape itself with just a little bit of help from temperature, gravity, and in some cases, wind! This proves just what a marvel water actually is! Weird stuff...and gorgeous!
