thank you Vashek for encouraging me to send this file out, you are right it does make a striking portrait.
I am sure you all may have at one time or another heard me rattle on about the limitations of poser when I try to do my master renders and that I do everything at 10000 pixels high...well it was about time I showed a section from one of those master renders up close...
however...when I render a square format image I only take them to 6000 pixels in size and this a small crop from the Barbarian to show the wonderful details in these large renders
the prints I am doing are amazing, I am very happy
this is just the most incredible technology and I am very glad to be able to create with it
warm hugs to those that need them and even more for those that think they don't

This render looks more like a stand alone portrait than just a "cut-out" to show the details of the original resolution... I'm glad you have decided to upload it! It's a marvelous piece, this guy's desperation and doubts could never appear this clear in the resized version. Love this! Vashek

The closeup really does bring the emotion center. One can feel for him, the loss perhaps he's had, choices he had to make to get on the throne. The detail in this is stunning, just wonderful the way the tattoos seem like they might move if this were animated. Perhaps they are magical? Fantastic work, Carl, just fantastic!

thanks for the detail, it really shows the marvellous work you've done on the hair and skin texture, I would love to find a texture that shows the open pores a lot of bodybuilders have along with that veined look, then we could have even better fun, but this is a great image and superb work on the musclature and haunted expression of the character
