Description
This had been a lot of fun, trying my skills against a steep slope, slipping and sliding and sand everywhere ruining any good camera - and one does not find a willing model everyday to capture doing dune surfing! These sand dunes are also called the "roaring sands" because of the sound, not unlike a lion emanating from the sands under ones feet.
Thanks to Rachelle for being patient and willing - I can only hope I captured the energy, motion and youth well.

From the title, I thought the photo would be a lion in a sandy part of the Kalahari! I think I like this one better. Rachelle sure is having fun posing for Oom Piet!That's what makes it a super capture.
