Description
From the backyard bird watch, this little Goldfinch other wise known as the wild canary due to there bright yellow summer plumage was heading for the seed that I had just thrown on the ground. Making sure he got his fare share, at this time of the year it’s not an exaggeration to say I’ll have 20+ of these beautiful song birds on my feeders as well as foraging on the ground at the same time. It’s a good thing they are a social bird and share the feeders with all the other birds. The weatherman here is saying we’re going to get another 6 to 8 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, I hope there wrong but should they have nailed this forecast the birds will be hungry in the morning.
