Description

None of it seems real. Oddly, for me it was brought home by the sight of Australian police being sworn in to patrol the streets, and the knowledge that none of the authorities are carrying firearms. It's not something we do here. Of course guns must be available, but they are very tightly controlled. Our military are serving meals and desalinating water lol, as well as keeping the cordon tight, and bringing in portaloos.. That's us. Kiwis. Weird I guess. Just a note too, that we are intensely aware of the situations in other parts of the world, including the Middle East. We still have people in all sorts of places all around the world, helping in various ways. We have not shut ourselves away, and we won't. It is so good, though, to see the world coming to us. This fractal is a leaf, a tear, a drop of water, a candle flame. Thankyou all for the wishes, emails and stuff.

Another wonderful portrayal of this troubling time. My daughter has now got running water, power and can use the loo again. How quick was that. Now we just have to find some more live people.
