This is another character portrait. Master Z'Rissa Organa is a favorite Star Wars roleplaying game GM character of mine. She also "co-starred" in "Cadences," a Star Wars fanfic written by a dear friend of mine, "Donovan Morningfire," who would later work on sourcebooks for Saga Edition, the fourth version of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. I used a simple backdrop this time because one of the purposes for this image was a new avatar. I'm the Lead Moderator for the forums on www.d20radio.com & have the username Z'Rissa. My old avatar, a picture of her, was taken from an illustration included with "Cadences" when it was published in the SW Online Journal, a long-defunct (alas) fan publication devoted to the various Star Wars RPGs. So I decided that after doing 3D art for this long it was high time I imitated my teenage son & made my own avatar for the site. I was already working on this character, off and on, as part of a larger SW project. So I finished just the Z'Rissa character, posed her, & added the backdrop. As usual the posing took forever, even starting with some M4 sword poses from Daz. Even after I selected one, I had to re-tweak the finger & hand poses, since they were for longsword, not lightsaber, props. Master Z'Rissa is also in the first image in my gallery here. I think I've improved in the year & a half since then. A lot of the credit, if I have, goes to Spacer_01, who must be the most patient art teacher in any galaxy. Also, thanks to Lon Blackstone, who provided some feedback as I was working on this.
