Description

Just a little hike in Waipio Valley we did on Monday. The name of that falls is Hi’ilawe. My prayers and thoughts to the people of Japan because of that monstrous earthquake. Aloha. "Waipio Valley Road"

glad you uploaded, checked in... didn't see hardly any news, but what I did catch just turned the stomach... and looking at the early writings on the net, Hawaii and California was supose to feel a punch from Mother Nature... I thought I heard it was mild to little damage on the US States.... Japan seems like Olympus - it was very strong many years ago and now it's scary to think that nuclear plants could just ruin areas for the rest of my life time at least.... Glad to know you're safe and wasn't playing around volcanos when all this crap happened.

Nice shot!! Been there, the picture captures the beauty. When Mother Nature talks like this, (as in Japan) people listen. Too bad they live where she talked this time.

My heart is with Hawaii and the damage done from the Tsunami. I know my son lives on the coast in Northern CA and the Tsunami zone signs are in front of his house. They were ok, but only 20 miles above and 20 miles below there was a lot of damage. Our area of California has a high population of Japanese people so we are greatly affected by their grief and concern. This is a fabulous shot. That waterfall is so delicate from this distance.

You know how much I love Waipio Valley; one day I'll hike that Z trail too!! Nature rules, we know that for sure when these horrific events occur.

Beautiful punch bowl with the falls. I assumed you fared well from the tsunami? It actually did some damage along our coast in the harbors.
