You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Ouch! Seeing the point on the end of the top beak of the other pelicans really makes me feel for the poor guy. Excellent image! I love the way the other pelicans are looking on too. The little guy on the right really seems to be egging them on, while many of the others appear to be above such shenanigans. Pelicans are so comical. I like the one to the left that is seen almost full face. Wonderful capture of so many and at just the right moment.

Great capture and analogy!

Wow. I love Pelicans. I found them in carribean islands but one or two at time. Here you have captured a crowded family. Great shot. Well done. Brava Brigitte

love your title, and the pic is really clear and vivid. A wonderful cream tone to their lighter feathers, and real music to the heads and bodies milling around and bobbing at each other. And I love the two birds shouting at each other---it looks like the left bird has poked his beak into the beak of the right bird (ouch! that's a lotta nerve!) You cropped it so the birds practically reach the top of the frame---brings us right into the action. Love this shot. And the brown of the ground makes a great harmony with the birds' brown. A must-see, full size...
