I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

outstanding balancing

I have no idea how you manage that. A steady and and patience, I guess. And maybe no wind. Very impressive!

They look like anthropomorphic beings made of stone! A work of imagination and discipline.

You could probably have lots of fun on Halloween, going about town and placing stacks of rocks in random yards. Kind of a 'crop circle' thing. I like the one in the middle!

Wow! A feast for the eyes! I love seeing these from different angles. In the full view, there's one that looks sort of like a chicken. The close in shot from another angle doesn't look like a chicken at all. Something about the internet going down when the weather is nice seems like a good deal to me! LOL!

And I feel like I've accomplished something when I can get a nickle to stand on end:) Amazing rock stacking hobby... Taking their pictures must be easy by comparison.

I cannot choose either, they are all so special characters. Fantastic together.

More productive? Maybe... More relaxing? No way! Trust me - I'd much rather have been balancing rocks than having my butt handed to me by 20 production-print digital presses.... This is really so cool, Mike! Looking at these, it gives me the feeling it's a kind of Zen thing. I still think you're getting help from space aliens, though... :-D

You ought to be doing this as museum pieces. Truly! (PS. I couldn't decide, either.)

I love this collage. Clever work! Also I like your title. That's my 'problem' often too ;-)

Hope your internet goes out more often...well, not really. These are excellent. Must take some patience. Great shots, too!

Stoned-henge .. giggles. We have some land out in the country. Very rocky land. Stone sculptures similar to these abound. What else would you do when trying to mow an area around a camper? Why, build a rock garden, of course! But I never thought of doing Stoned-henge!! Spectacular.
