Description
I needed to do a magazine cover, and to be honest, I couldn't come up with any exciting ideas. Dragons aren't my thing, so to say. So I decided to do a still life. Turned out pretty nicely. The coins were actually more difficult to make than you might think.
Fortunately I just got a new book cover assignment, for a science fiction novel, and came up with a great idea almost immediately. he art always seems to be much better when the idea comes out of nowhere and it's exciting to do. It's good to have things to do to make it worth getting out of bed in the morning.
