My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is every bit as beautiful n B&W as it was in color!!

Fabulous Tara almost looks like a pencil sketch to me.. Wonderful!!
Jesti
Quite lovely either way, I like how the black and white version pulls your eye to the heron.

I have been looking at both again and again... torn too. My time in the darkroom means that the B&W appeals more somehow. Thanks for posting this one! Clive

I was going to say I liked the color version better but the more I look at this the better I like it. I agree with Jesti, the black and white really highlights the heron.

Excellent work.

So beautiful in b&w. The light edges give the landscape an almost surreal feeling.

Sometimes it's better not to burden yourself with hard decisions like this! I tend toward colour myself, but then I really really like the heron in this one...darn you!

This image looks great in B&W too but I think I liked the colour better but the detail shows up better in this one. I'm glad you posted both.

A different mood and atmosphere altogether - simpler but more intriguing, if that makes any sense ? BB

Really impressive, artistic image!

This is amazing! I like both version and I totally know what it means to be swamped; I'm pretty much swamped until about the second week of April, which is fine by me, since April is almost here! As for this shot, it's marvelous! It has such a deliciously otherworldly look to it. LOL @ Jocko, listening to Venessa Mae while looking at this! As it stands, I'm listening to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross doing The Social Network soundtrack. It's amazing how quasi Nine Inch Nails music goes so well with this image. And the image itself is superb and deliciously moody!

This is FANTASTIC!!!! Wow, I really love this! The b/w is great and so refreshing to see in a world of color. There's an almost painterly quality to this that I really like. Great work!
