Description
My second warm-up piece. I'm still sticking to simple portraits at this point, but this time I added some more complex lighting to simulate multiple oil lamps in the room, and I added a DOF effect.
Trying out the new V4 Archer costume that I found at DAZ. Love the outfit, but it is totally impractical as an archer's outfit. Can you imagine trying to draw a bow with those sleeves? However, I think it works quite well as a Rogue outfit, and that is how I present it here.
The textures that come with the suit are really quite extraordinary. You can actually see the weave of the fabric! I recommend the full-size view to appreciate the exquisite detailing in the embroidery.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave comments. They are what keep me going.

Very well done. And good attention to detail changing from archer to rogue. I'm not sure there would be a problem drawing a bow with those sleves, but releasing the arrow accuratly... This portrait is one of those 'everything fits' types. It all goes together so seamlessly. She looks very natural in that outfit, and in the setting. Nicely done.

Very nice portrait. I agree, those sleeves would definitely be in the way for an archer.. delightful and fanciful rogue gear though. The lighting and dof are nice too.

The outfit is really superb and the Lady gorgeous! Well it seems to me you should be nicely warmed-up now after these two fabulous works! Your multiple sources lighting is a success, I just would have personnaly made oil-lamp lighting a little bit more warmer (a mix of soft orange/gold/yellow) but you know how I am with colors! Wonderful art as always! Keep it going please!

Fantastic. The DOF is perfect to both provide depth AND to highlight your superb character. Your sense of the clothing is spot-on too: Anyone who has drawn a bow would HATE all that floppy cloth in the way LOL! I like the confident pose and determined expression too - not someone I would want to mess with LOL! Nice work!

Indeed I agree on the outfit. I had a cross between a smirk and a grimmace when I saw those flouncy sleeves being flogged as an archer's outfit. Unlike you I could not bring myself to buy it after seeing its ridiculous appelation. However, you have made the best of the situation and she looks rather good here.
