Description

Silvestre loved the atrium - the view, the warmth of the sun, the clean lines of the arched glass, the design of the floors - but most of all, she loved the small quadrupeds that lived here, the feeling of their fur, their swift intelligence, their lightning quick reflexes. She made no sense of their vocalisations but nevertheless felt an enormous affinity for them, and they enjoyed a wide repertoire of communication... Vue 9 Infinite, cropping and signature in Photoshop CS5. TFL, Craig. BTW, I had a wonderful ride in the Cape Argus Cycle Tour, finishing 6 minutes slower than my target time (and almost an hour and a half slower than the professionals... :o). So although I didn't win, I was definitely a winner. thumb_2183364.jpg

That is fantastic lighting in this render, and the clarity really is outstanding...I think this ranks as one of your best as far as realism goes, right down to the scene outside the windows...very well done Craig!

Well Craig, as you see I may not make it to page 1 of your gallery, this session. I'm picking every 2d or 3d image, but it's hard to bypass so much...Here we see your sense of interiors, which you've shown before: A sweeping, looming atrium, very open, very clean---in a 'zen' sort of way, ie, emptying the inner space to be more receptive to the outer universe. (Or vice versa, depending on where you start.) A large sweep-of-a-space, all open floors with easeful beige-ish hues which provide a backdrop for the beauty outside, rather than a contrast. Those big sweeping windows define the atrium & overlook more nature, which you blanketed not only in its 'own' atmospheres but in the added veil of the glass itself---ie, we can see that the forest & river are effected by the filters of the glass. And then, Sylvestre and her cats: They're indelibly present, but also unobtrusive against the sweep of the outside world. Also, you have an affinity for cats, I see (wonderful)---you know how they move & engage themselves. A looming overarching vision, with intimacy, subtlety and sweep. Very fine work, Craig.
