Description
One of the things I like best about San Francisco is that it is a city of neighborhoods, each with its own character. You are seldom more than walking distance from someplace with people. Polk Street is one of the main streets in the Russian Hill area and the shops are open well into the night. This market was a block from my hotel.

Great to here this, it is so easy to be lonely in big conurbations. This photo is very interesting, the place is similar to many in my hometown.

I just love those little corner stores, that's what bwe call them here - you can almost get anything you want - when you want, it's a family affair ... and very precious when they greet and know you by your name, BB

Beautiful shot! Very rich and welcoming. Wonderful sharp clear colors and strong contrast. I like the way the ceiling lights are seen though several different panes of glass and through the grating above the door. I like this a lot.
