Description

Within two blocks of my hotel you could find all sorts of ethnic restaurants, a bookstore, several antique shops, a shop selling magazines and newspapers in several languages and an old movie house. I walked over to see what was playing and wondered at the unusual titles. My mistake. The Alhambra, complete with a pair of minarets, is now a fitness center. But hey, No Judgements. Inspired by Lynell (tennesseecowgirl) I did this one in film noire black and white. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2183185&user_id=516712&member&np

Here in Berlin there is also a "ALHAMBRA". But this is still a cinema. The image in monochrome like that. I currently a penchant for these shots. Juli

Oh Mark this is great. I am flattered that my class photo, inspired you. If you could have only seen me out there that night getting frustrated with my tripod my instructors)and my camera, and trying to learn to shoot in the dark. haha I never thought I would get anything worth keeping let alone one that would inspire someone else. thank you :) I have since got a tripod and it is so much easier to use.

This capture has real impact in B&W but what a shame there are no more movies here.

Terrific shot! Wonderful in B&W with great detail and light. I like the light on the near car with the reflection of the sign. It's good that it wasn't torn down, but I really think they should have...Oh yeah, no judgements...never mind.
