Description
Here we can see a much smaller apartment building under construction. Unlike the super hooches I have shown you earlier, these buildings are actually low enough to get away with using bamboo for scaffolding. These apartments have four huge floors and each floor will house a single family.
Next to the buildings you can see tall metal poles bolted together to make up elevators for hauling building materials, primarily concrete and bricks up to each floor.
The name of this city is pronounced Dah Ching. Deqing being a rural area the one child policy is not enforced. Many families here are able to have three or more children. Concerning the "One Child Policy," much of this is coming to an end as well.
In the super mega cities, such as Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing; the one child policy is still the enforced. In those cities, as was always the case, if you could pay the tax of about $100,000 for each child, you could have more. In the rural cities, you can have three children without paying the tax provided the first to children were girls. Also, selective abortions are now illegal, the doctors will not tell you the sex of your baby.

Seeing these "small structures" being build did not immediately hit me with the realities of population explosion in China.. If you build these in the Bronx, NY.. Let's say.. you would ask, who will be the lucky few to live there... That's because 20 stories would be more likely to be seeing as Public housing or just low rent residential. Looking at the large population in china you'd think they build upwards of more than four stories... I do like these buildings with there nice looking roofs.. I wonder if they are for certain citizens only..

I would imagine after walking on bamboo for several years the worker's feet must in pain.I do not even like ladders with round rungs and that is with work shoes.outstanding shot
