Description

On a trip to Grand Cayman Island, in the Caribbean, we visited a turtle farm. Adult green sea turtles grow to 5 feet (1.5 meters) long and an average weight is around 330 pounds (150 kg). There were hundreds in this huge tank and they are sold, to locals, for soup or other meals. So our wives decided that we should buy one and release it. One large blanket and $120 later, a group of wet and dirty husbands released one angry turtle. Thank goodness that they have flippers and not claws. Some info from Wikipedia. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

How wonderful that you went to all that trouble to release this wonderful creature. A super capture but they do look so crowded, no wonder you wanted to release them.
