Description
California poppies on the shore of Clear Lake, along with a charming visitor! I think this might be the only bug in my gallery. I was just snapping pretty flowers, and when I looked at my pics this morning, there he was! He was cute, and had a great sense of composition, so I let him stay.

Great shot of some great flowers, I've noticed that bugs often show up on pictures even when you didn't see them when you took the picture.

Alright, you are going to tell me now - to get out more often - because this is the very first time, that I have ever seen yellow poppies, only ever reds ! (you almost want to squish them and butter your toast with them ;-)) and what a joy they are to drool over with a little bonus - just perfect. BB

Okay, you're probably not going to be surprised but the little spotted beetle is the first thing that I noticed once I saw more than the thumbnail. I love these little guys. The little visitor is perfectly positioned to show off those spots and that wonderful insectoid figure! This is marvelous, and what's funny about these beetles is that later in the year the green fades to a more seasonable color! Nature is so wonderful! You have created a marvel here too! I love it! Feel free to photograph more insects. You're so good at it!
