Description
The journey had left me scared and beaten
All of the trials and tribulations
Did not make the victory sweeter
It made the soul harder
It made me afraid to love
Or to ever be loved again
I do not sleep better now
I hardly sleep at all
The evil things that I have seen
Come back to haunt me in my dreams
Life does not mean victory
And death does not mean defeat
The only thing I ever pray for
Is that someday
I may find peace
