My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Woodcarving is a real art; the weathering of this piece shows off the beauty of the grain. As always, your compo is brilliant!

A fairly simple design but whoever worked the wood did a great job. The feeling of movement is impressive. Excellent capture.

Now that's a wave I could ride (without breaking my fool neck and/or drowning). And so much the better if there's food involved! Delightful capture, Tara! Wonderful texture in that wood - I can almost feel it!

I love elegant photographs that also serve as restaurant recommendations, especially since food just so happens to be my favorite dish. And what a photograph! At first I thought it was a stone carving, but the weathering and the cracks revealed a more woody nature and well, needless to say, I love it. I think it speaks to my inner woodlouse or something likely to interpret a wood carving as...well...the makings of a great meal/home. This is a gorgeous, nicely detailed shot.

Perfect details. Great shot

Great photo. The detail is wonderful. The piece looks gigantic. I agree with debbielove. Looks southsea islandish.
