I like Mark's comment and agree. We so often miss the little things below while staring at the large things above. For completely unrelated reasons, this makes me think of the Ursula K. LeGuin novel, The Word for World is Forest...one of my favorite novels. There was a description of the forest of another world and it focused on the shadows, the endless, dark shadows, and the small things living unseen...and for quite obvious reasons, this image reminds me of that, especially since the Redwoods are so impressive and yet other impressive things live in their shadow. This is really super, and well, if it makes me think of the elegantly clever Ms. LeGuin, that's a good thing too. On its own, without science fictional references, this is supremely gorgeous!
