Description

...misty morning among the monoliths north of Cannon Beach, Oregon. ...Ecola Creek flowing across the beach into the Pacific is in the foreground. ...similar to yesterday's post but I found the basalt monoliths (stacks) along the coast fascinating. Somewhere I read that these came from ancient lava flows...just couldn't find the same article for a reread this morning:) Bill P.S. Please zoom for more detail. I love Oregon. I don't think there is anyplace in the US that beats our beaches. Wonderful shot!

Beautiful shot of the long, flat beaches with the vertical outcroppings. What a coast line! Very nice with the blues and grays. Then the added Photoshop canvas texture, giving it that added "artist's touch". But, it looks like the dog is walking the owner, not the other way around! :)

Did not know these stacks were basalt. From your title I expected some expert spinning a yo-yo.

This is terrific Bill. I always have trouble looking at a tranquil scene like this and trying to imagine the violence that it was formed from.

Cool mood ambience in this panoramic view, Bill. And, "walking the dog" is one of the tricks we used to perform with a yo-yo.
