What a wonderful image! I love the sun on the water, the little boy so intent on what he's seeing. When I was little, our back yard gave way to the beach, and you take me back. Beautiful!

Gorgeous! When I was that little, I was probably looking for poisonous things with stingers, really impressive mandibles, or pretty scales...needless to say, I didn't find much on the beaches of Chicago...but there you have it: nothing to do with this gorgeous image, but at the same time, this image triggered strong memories of looking for dangerous, living things. I was a weird kid. And as for this photo: there's so much to like about it. The human focus is superb, and to top it off you've got that wonderful sunset light-trail on the water, and a gull doing what gulls do best, when they're not stealing food from picnics: or is it just Chicago gulls that are known for that? This is really nice photo-work, and I love the relationship between little Adam and the gull...it makes an interesting diagonal line that works really well with me. There's a whole Fibonacci spiral thing at play here too, you can actually see the spiral if you look at Adam as the centralized focus of the image...because he's off center, it makes for a more "alive" image...the gull is near the wider end of that spiral. I love it when I can see that in an image...it means I actually paid attention in the one photography class I sat in on at Columbia College, back when I was flirting with a photo student whose name I can no longer remember. And now that I've rambled on about everything, I'm going to shut up now. Oh, but before I shut up, I'll let you know that this shot is making a quick trip into my favorites. Oh, and one more thing: your title has a nice ring to it, rather like one of those North European folktales involving...well...boys named Adam, and sea gulls and a parable-like quality that also describes a natural phenomenon.

Wonderful. I grew up by the ocean. Brings back good memories. Welcome to Renderosity!
