Description

This is Corey on the deck at Sharkey's on the Pier right after we watched the sun set. Most of the time he is viewing the world thru his camera lense. I liked the way the light just shows his features.

Hey, I know this guy...I know this shot! HA! And you posted him wearing glasses, as soon as I point a camera ANYWHERE vaguely close to his generalized spatial direction, he takes his glasses off! I have to agree that the light is fantastic and it really does highlight his features in a very dramatic way; the background is superb as well...very moody, very raw and in-the-moment, which is how backgrounds should be. That warmer, golden light on the right is super, especially since it picks out the nice linear definition of the railing. This is a great shot.

Ahhhhh ... a quieter, darker view. Every shot I have of Corey he's smiling in the sunshine. (It was a very good day all around.) The lighting is wonderful!

You brought out the moment and a side of him I find introspective.

Hey! I know this guy! (A little too well). I'm obviously still adjusting to these bi-focals, because when I saw this in thumbnail I thought it was somebody in a gorilla suit holding a flashlight up to their face! I wouldn't say that it's hell getting old, but it IS somewhat surreal! I love this sneak shot and how you caught me off guard. What I really like is how you captured the different sources of artificial light amid the fading natural light, and made them clear without losing the mood and atmosphere of the larger scene itself. Great work!
