Description
We were walking down the street in Boston, and there it was -- the Cheers bar!! Of course, we had to check it out. It's a bar, they serve drinks and sell all sorts of junk you don't need!!
During the time this show was on TV, I didn't even have one, so never saw it. You would have had to live in a cave in a remote desert not to have heard about Cheers, though. There are actually TWO bars, the real one, and the "set bar", where the series was filmed. Both are still open and crowded!!

I saw parts of it once or twice, but that's pretty much the story of me and 99% of all television! At someone else's house and they had it on, mostly.

Cheers! One of my favorite stay-up-late-at-night-to-watch sitcoms! I wonder if Ted Danson and Shelly Long still work there. If there was TV around in the early 1800s, anyone not owning one would be considered a Luddite. It seems to be some kind of independent badge of honor not to have one. In my case, I need a television for sports and my tons of DVD movies.
