Description

This is another view of the Venice, FL railroad station. I am new at uploading my photos, but really like browsing everyones. There are some really good photographers on Renderosity. Nice people too. Thanks for your comments.

Very much an eye-catcher...like the repetition and the light very much. Just a thought...you may draw the viewer's eye even more to the arches and walker by cropping off the extreme left and right sides. Purely a matter of what suits your artistic eye the best. I am always torn on these decisions but usually find less is more:)

I love this perspective! Any time there are arches along the wall of a hallway, you have my complete and undivided attention. :)

It's funny, the perspective is fantastic, and it just draws you in, but like the typical weirdo I am, the first thing I noticed was the color. I was especially drawn to the ocher tones (a bit of Prague nostalgia reared its half-drunken head) and the compliment of the redder bases of the columns and then those nice, black edges...and THEN I saw the vanishing perspective POV which drew me in even further, leading to...green! And then, there are those light globes in such a neat, but not rigid, line. This is such a treat for the eye and it's a lot of fun. I'm sure a geometry teacher might have a lot to say about the stuff in this shot, but I stopped listening to geometry teachers when they told me I might conceivably find myself in a position in life in which I'd have to measure a flagpole by its shadow. THAT hasn't happened, leading me to think that geometry teachers are full of it. Here, it looks less like Castrovalva, but more like an ancient temple that's been modernized. I like this quite a lot!

This is great! I've just spent the last 2 minutes or so looking at this picture reveling in all the wonderful colors and details. I love how warm it looks, the subtly different shades of yellow/ocher depending on light and distance, the soft orange of the ground, the vivid green of the trees, the row of white bulbs and how the black detailing seems to pull it all together. The feeling of depth further heightened by Kate's figure walking purposefully toward the future. A very stirring shot. I love it!
